CD Projekt Red has already suggested that Cyberpunk 2077's upcoming expansion, Phantom Liberty, will overhaul everything. Now, as fans are invited to play the DLC early, we have some more details on the specific changes coming to the game, including the ability to completely rework your character.

According to early players, Phantom Liberty lets you fully respec your character. Not only can you reset your perks, but you can also redistribute all of your attributes, redesigning your character without having to restart the game. The expansion will also apparently open up more areas in Night City, with more routes added in the Badlands.

Of course, this info comes from fans playing the game early as part of the Phantom Liberty tour, so leave room for doubt as some new features may have been misinterpreted. Players are said to get around an hour with the demo, so understandably, many would be rushing to see as much of the main story as they can.

Still, Reddit user ParkerP11 has shared a list of details based on experience with the demo, claiming that we can fully respec our characters and find new locations in the base game map. On top of this, the level cap is said to have been increased to 70, so you won't have to make a new character to make the most of the new features.

Netrunning also appears to have been massively overhauled, making the build much more action-packed. According to ParkerP11, you can now set up a "queue" of multiple hacks, rather than having to wait to hack the same person again. They also say there's a new feature called the "Netrunner Booster", which gives you unlimited RAM for a period of time, letting you stack up a bunch of hacks.

Other than that, Parker P11 details a bunch of smaller changes, subtly tweaking aspects of the game. For example, they say that some NPCs will react to the player, more so than they do in the base game. The more expensive vehicles you pick up throughout the game will also come into use, as they'll apparently be harder to destroy. Another change, albeit one that is completely cosmetic, is that V now has an animation for when they leave the Ripperdoc, showing that they're in pain. Given the horrific representation of Cyberware in Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, this isn't too surprising. Having that kind of gear installed isn't just fun and games.

This isn't the first account we've heard of what it's like to play Phantom Liberty. Over the weekend, fans who played the demo shared that the world feels much more "alive" now, with "enhanced" gameplay.

We'll find out for ourselves when Cyberpunk: Phantom Libertylaunches next month, September 26.
