As mentioned above, Hyper Training a Pokemon involves increasing one of its stat's Individual Values to the maximum value of 31. A Pokemon's IVs are set when it is captured or hatched, and can only be changed by Hyper Training. Keep in mind, however, that a Pokemon with Hyper Trained IVs will not pass them down if it breeds.

To Hyper Train a Pokemon's stats, head to Montenevera and speak to the NPC with an Abomasnow near the Pokemon Center. This NPC will Hyper Train a Pokemon for the cost of one Bottle Cap per stat, or one Gold Bottle Cap for all six stats.

You can only Hyper Train Pokemon that are level 50 or above.

Simply select the stat you wish to train, pay the Bottle Cap, and you're done. You may notice an immediate increase in the Pokemon's stats, or you may need to EV train it first before the change is apparant. Either way, if you have the Judge Function unlocked, you can check the Pokemon's IVs to see that the stat now says Hyper Trained.

The Judge Function can also be used to see an estimate of the Pokemon's other IVs, letting you know which ones you should Hyper Train next.

Unlike past Pokemon games, Bottle Caps are extremely common in Scarlet and Violet. There are a few different ways to obtain these items, but the easiest is to just buy them from Delibird Presents for 20,000 Pokedollars each. If you're planning on Hyper Training a few Pokemon, you may want to stock up on some cash with the Amulet Coin.

Bottle Caps are sold at the Delibird Presents in Cascarrafa, Levincia, and Mesagoza.

Gold Bottle Caps, on the other hand, are very hard to come by. These can only be obtained from Event Tera Raid battles, from the Academy Ace Tournament, or from the auction in Porto Marinada. Luckily, you can get six Bottle Caps a lot easier than you can get one Gold Bottle Cap, making Gold Bottle Caps more of a convenience item.
