Pokemon Go fans will be getting a taste of Paldea pretty soon, as it was announced during the most recent Pokemon Presents showcase that Gen 9 Pokemon will be added to Pokemon Go next month. Unfortunately, a release date for the Paldean 'mons wasn't announced at the same time, though we can probably expect some news on that front in the coming weeks given that September isn't too far away.

We didn't see which Pokemon will be added, but it can probably be assumed that Sprigatito, Quaxley, and Fuecoco will all be there on the first day since they're Scarlet & Violet's starters. They also appear in the very brief trailer we got for the announcement, so it's pretty nailed on that they'll be there. As for how much more of the Paldean Pokedex will be joining them, we'll have to wait and see.

With this announcement, it means that every generation of Pokemon is now available to catch in Pokemon Go in at least some capacity, though you'll have your work cut out for you if you plan on trying to catch 'em all. Still, it's nice that soon almost every generation will be represented in some way, even if we do have to wait a little while for all the new Paldean 'mons to join the game.

As most of you probably expect, this announcement wasn't the only one made during the Pokemon Presents showcase, as we also got a closer look at both of Pokemon Scarlet & Violet's upcoming expansions. The Teal Mask is the first one out of the gate, and will introduce new a new variety of Applin called Dipplin, who looks more like a candy apple than its regular counterpart, as well as new characters and new ways to take photos. We also learnt that The Teal Mask expansion will launch next on September 13.

We also got some details on the second expansion, The Indigo Disk, which looks just as in depth. While The Teal Mask has a bit more of an emphasis on exploration, The Indigo Disk is all about battling, and even intorduces an evolution for Duraludon called Archaludon. On top of that, the expansion also has another Pokemon League for you to conquer, as well as new ways to fly around on your legendary partner. No release date for this one though, as it still has a vague release date of Winter 2023. Hey, at least it hasn't been delayed.
