Archetypes in Remnant 2 greatly influence your character and how you play the game. So, when choosing an Archetype, it's important to consider which one suits your gameplay style best. Initially, the game presents four starting Archetypes, with more becoming available as you progress.
While some Archetypes, like the Medic and the Handler, are easy to unlock, others demand more effort. The Invader Archetype follows a similar progression as the Engineer and Summoner, requiring you to complete several steps before unlocking it. However, with the Invader, it's not just that – you'll also need to reach near the end of the game before it becomes accessible.
How To Unlock The Invader Archetype
Before you can access the Invader Archetype, you need to make significant progress in the game and reach the final world, Root Earth.
While you're on the journey toward Root Earth, obtain the Dreamcatcher. This item is mandatory for unlocking the Invader Archetype.
Once you have the Dreamcatcher and can enter Root Earth, your next objective is to advance through the game until you arrive at the Corrupted Harbor location. In the Corrupted Harbor, you will come across what seems like a shipwreck.
Head down to the lower level, and you'll discover a hidden open space. In the center, you'll find a strange-looking pod surrounded by a blue mist. From this pod, you can acquire the Escalation Protocol
This amulet enhances your damage by 2.5 percent for ten seconds after defeating an enemy. Notably, its effects can accumulate up to ten times, and the timer resets whenever you inflict damage.
First, equip the Dreamcatcher and attack the pod here. This action will grant you the Walker's Dream.
Next, place this consumable item in your quick bar and use it. This will transport you to an alternate version of this area known as Twilight Vale.
While in Twilight Vale, you must defeat the boss, Bane, and obtain the Wooden Shiv.
Similar to other Archetypes, return to Wallace in Ward 13. Use the Wooden Shiv with ten Lumenite Crystals and 1,000 scrap to craft the Serrated Root Blade.
After successfully crafting the Engram, equip it to unlock the Invader Archetype.
Invader Archetype Overview
The Invader is a unique Archetype with a focus on using sneakiness and misdirection when facing enemies to gain the upper hand.
Their special abilities center around creating decoys, drawing the enemy's attention away from allies, and setting a restore point with all their current stats.
Alongside this, they boast increased damage, agility, lower threat generation, and a temporary invulnerability buff.
