The Dreamcatcher is an example of a powerful melee weapon that you might want to add to your loadout. However, there is more to it than dealing damage. If used properly, the Dreamcatcher can help you get secret items.

How To Get The Dreamcatcher

Dreamcatcher in Remnant 2-1

To begin, you need to start Losomn in Marrow Parish. This is important to access the Asylum storyline, which will guide you toward obtaining the Dreamcatcher.

If you don't have Morrow Parish as your starting location, you'll need to reroll Losomn in Adventure Mode.

As you progress through Marrow Parish, you'll eventually reach the sanatorium. Once you've arrived there, there are a couple of things to do before getting the Dreamcatcher.

For starters, you need to locate the Asylum Third Floor Key, which you'll find inside a locked shed situated in the Asylum's courtyard. When you interact with the shed, you'll initiate a boss fight with Ripsaw.

After defeating Ripsaw, you'll be able to collect the Asylum Third Floor Key from inside the shed.

Afterward, your next task is to reach the third floor of the Asylum and use the obtained key to unlock the door.

While exploring the third floor, you'll come across a noticeable large hole in the floor near the first chamber on the left-hand side. There, you'll spot a window that you can access.

Prions Cell Key Remnant 2

On the small balcony outside the window, you'll be able to get the Prison Cell Key.

While other guides may suggest that you must gather the three Stoned-carved Dolls, we have confirmed for ourselves that acquiring these dolls is not necessary for the process of obtaining the Dreamcatcher.

The purpose of the three Stoned-carved Dolls is solely to enable you to hear the Head Doctor sing the lyrics, which are essential for unlocking the Morrow Parish Sanatorium Safe.

Now that you have the Prison Cell Key, it's time to head to the basement of the sanatorium, where the Head Doctor is locked.

Upon reaching the locked door, interact with the Head Doctor until the option to "Unlock The Door" is presented. This action will grant you access to the room.

Inside, you won't encounter the Head Doctor, but you will discover the Nightweaver Stone Doll.

With the Nightweaver Stone Doll now in your possession, continue progressing naturally through the Asylum storyline until you acquire the Soulkey Tribute.

This is a Quest Item, so you won't have to worry if you'll miss it.

Once you get Soulkey Tribute, make your way back to the basement of the asylum.

In the basement, you might have noticed a cluster of webs with a slightly greenish hue near the previous location of the Head Doctor.

Using the Soulkey Tribute Remnant 2

Here, you can use the Soulkey Tribute, which will teleport you to the Tormented Asylum.

After arriving at the Tormented Asylum, your task is to locate the Nightweaver's Web in the first room to your left after teleporting.

How To Use The Dreamcatcher

All consumable dreams using the Dreamcatcher Remnant 2

The Dreamcatcher is a versatile melee weapon that is best at controlling wide areas through its sweeping swings. It's ideal for managing crowds and delivering rapid damage.

However, the Dreamcatcher's purpose does not lie only in battle, it will help you uncover secret items as well.

With the Dreamcatcher, you can obtain three different secret items, each from its own specific location.

Crescent Moon Bow (Nimue)

While Nimue is asleep, use the Dreamcatcher to attack her.

This action will grant you a consumable known as Nimue's Dream. Upon consumption, it will transport you to Retreat's Horizon.

At this location, you will be able to spot a radiant turquoise stone shining from afar; that's the Anamy's Echo.

After collecting it, take it back to McCabe in order to craft the Crescent Moon Bow.

Familiar Weapon Mod (The Huntress)

While the Huntress is asleep, use the Dreamcatcher to attack her.

The Huntress has a chance to spawn randomly in any of these three locations: Brocwithe Quarter, Forsaken Quarter, or Ironborough, all situated in Losomn.

Doing so will grant you a consumable known as Huntress's Dream.

After using it, it will transport you to Briella's Reverie, where you will have to fight the Huntress.

If you defeat the Huntress here, you'll get the Sacred Hunt Feather. This material can be used at McCabe to craft the Familiar weapon Mod.

Invader Archetype (Root Earth)

Upon arriving at Root Earth, you'll come across an open arena near the small checkpoint by the Corrupted Harbor.

This is the exact spot where you'll find the Escalation Protocol amulet.

In this area, you'll notice a distinct blue particle effect, and by attacking it with the Dreamcatcher, you can obtain the Walker's Dream.

Using this item will transport you to a boss battle against Bane. Upon defeating Bane, you'll earn the Wooden Shiv.

Head back to Wallace in Ward 13, and with the Wooden Shiv, you'll have the ability to craft the Serrated Root Blade.

By unlocking this Engram, you'll gain access to the Invader Archetype.
