The developers of Honkai: Star Rail have been doing a great job at marketing the limited and non-limited characters, which makes the players pull for them when they're featured on banners. Luckily, it's easier to get four-star characters like Yukong since you have a chance of getting her in every ten pulls.

She's an Imaginary character who follows the path of Harmony, which makes her a character who buffs other allies. With her abilities, you can give extra stats like ATK, Crit Rate, and Crit DMG to the allies who'll take action after her, and here are the best party members to benefit from that.

Updated on August 13, 2023, by Sanyam Jain: Yukong is one of the unique Harmony characters who will constantly get good team members as the game progresses since almost every DPS can go well with her. Though you have to manage a character's speed if you want to use them with her.

9 Seele

Ever since her release during the first limited banner, Seele has stayed as one of the best DPS characters in the game. Whenever you defeat an enemy with any of her abilities, she gets an extra turn in a buffed state that can deal extra damage, though you can only use her Skill and Basic Attack in this state.

She synergizes well with Yukong because the extra attack from her buffed state doesn't count as a turn, and it won't consume the stack from Yukong's Skill. Although, it can be quite hard to line up Seele after Yukong's Skill since she gets constant SPD and action advances.

8 Welt

Yukong has a Passive that increases the Imaginary DMG of all allies present on the field with her. This single-handedly makes her a great party member for Welt since he can deal quite a lot of DMG from his Skill and Ultimate if you build a bit of Crit on him. That's not the only synergy between these two characters.

Welt has one of the highest Toughness-Break DMG when you use his Skill on a single target. Yukong's Talent also lets her deal high Toughness-Break DMG with her Basic Attack. When these two are combined, bosses will hardly have their Toughness bar up for more than a turn.

7 Blade

Being a Stellaron Hunter, Blade has had a lot of hype surrounding him ever since he was first seen at the start of The Xianzhou Luofu Story. Thankfully, his release as a playable character didn't disappoint as he can deal a ton of damage and is also one of the few Wind DPS characters in the game.

He can deal heavy AoE damage with his Enhanced Basic Attack, Follow-up, and Ultimate. This is very useful with Yukong since you can use her buffs in some way even if he doesn't get a turn right after her. Although, he partially scales on HP so the ATK buff isn't the best for him.

6 Silver Wolf

Ever since her release, Silver Wolf has dominated the battlefield of Honkai: Star Rail because of her flexibility. The special thing about this character is that she can implant one Weakness from her party members' combat type to one enemy every time she uses her Skill. You can use Yukong in a mono-Imaginary team against any enemy if you have Silver Wolf.

Even if the enemy isn't weak to Imaginary, she can help you get that Weakness. The only problem is when the enemy isn't weak to both Imaginary and Quantum. Even if you have three Imaginary characters, there's a 50 percent chance of Silver Wolf putting the Quantum Weakness on them.

5 Jing Yuan

Jing Yuan's synergy with Yukong can be both amazing and frustrating at the same time. To get value from this team, you'll have to time Jing Yuan's Lightning Lord just after you use Yukong's Skill. This attack doesn't count as a turn so it doesn't consume Yukong's Roaring Bowstring stack.

Although, Lightning Lord's SPD increases whenever it gets more stacks from Jing Yuan's Skill and Ultimate. Moreover, the lord can't attack if Jing Yuan himself is crowd-controlled. As you can probably see, you'll have to take care of a bunch of things if you want to use them together, but that's what makes it satisfying.

4 Clara

Clara is a Destruction character who has a companion called Svarog. Whenever she's attacked, Svarog deals counter damage to one or more enemies on the field. Once again, this attack doesn't count as a turn, which lets you get multiple extra buffed attacks from Yukong's Skill if the enemy gets a turn right after you use the Skill.

Although, this synergy goes away if two of your characters attack after Yukong's Skill is used and before the enemies get a turn. These two characters can be great if you're fighting a high-level boss since their SPD lets them take a lot of turns.

3 Luocha

Yukong was first released alongside Luocha in the second half of the Version 1.1 update, and there had to be some synergy between them since they're both Imaginary characters. One thing that Luocha and Yukong share is that they can both deal substantial damage to the enemies even though they belong to support paths.

Their overall damage increases with Yukong's Bonus Ability called Bowmaster, and you can also run an Imaginary DMG Bonus Sphere on them to get more value. This is a niche setup that only works when you're using these characters together.

2 Physical Trailblazer

There are a bunch of team members that can bring out Yukong's value in a boss fight, but this character can do it even in normal fights while you're farming in the overworld. Physical Trailblazer is a free Destruction five-star character that everyone gets at the start of the game, and they can deal heavy single and multi-target damage.

When buffed with Yukong's Skill and Ultimate, they can use the stacks efficiently by spreading the damage between all the enemies equally. On the other hand, you can still use them together against a boss enemy because of Trailblazer's Ultimate.

1 Sushang

Honkai Star Rail Sushang Splash and Menu

While she might be a great buffer, one downside of using Yukong is that you'll need a lot of Skill Points since she needs to use one every time she gets a turn. You wouldn't be able to afford to use that many Skill Points on her in normal circumstances, but it's possible if you use her with Sushang's first Eidolon.

With this Eidolon, Sushang takes zero Skill Points when she uses a Skill against an enemy who doesn't have a Toughness bar since the consumed Skill Point is regenerated. You can even use a third character that needs some Skill Points in this composition.
