To create the Miraculous Potions in Disney Dreamlight Valley, you'll need Vitalys Crystals. These rare gems can be used to craft potions and enchantments that make life in the valley much easier. Bring a villager with a mining role with you to speed up the process and collect as many as possible for crafting.
These crystals are easy to overlook as just another resource, but their application can greatly improve gameplay when used in potions to enhance your tools. While there are a few steps to follow before you can acquire these crystals, it won't take long to start collecting them.
How To Unlock Vitalys Crystals
After completing the Story Quest The Curse, head to the Sunlit Plateau. There, you'll come face-to-face with Scar. Talk to him, and he'll start you on a journey to restore his–your–domain to its former glory.
Thankfully, the Nature & Nurture quest doesn't need to be completed to unlock the crystals; you only need to gain access to the Vitalys Mines.
Don't forget to bring a villager with a mining role with you as you explore. They can help collect extra resources while you mine, making the trip every bit worth the effort.
The mines are locked at the mouth of the river in the Sunlit Plateau. The path might be blocked by rocks in your valley, so come prepared to break through and enter the mines.
Where To Find Vitalys Crystals
Once you've entered the mines, you'll notice that the mining nodes have distinctive blue and purple streaks running through them.
The rare Vitalys Crystals can only be found in these mines, and these specialized nodes show it. You'll mine them like you would any other rock and reap the rewards.
Didn't find any crystals as you ran through the mine? Don't worry, the Vitalys Mines follow the same rules as other rock nodes.
If you came up empty-handed the first time, the rock node will respawn in about 5 minutes, giving you plenty of time to make the rounds inside the mine before returning to the beginning.
Within the mine are 12 mining spots to find these rare gems. You can easily do laps in the mines to maintain a steady rate of collection without having to wait too long between each one.
While Vitalys Crystals are not guaranteed to drop with every spot, like most gems, there are plenty of opportunities to collect them.
What To Do With Vitalys Crystals
Now that you have a collection of Vitalys Crystals, it's time to put them to good use. While you can sell them for a meager 12 star coins, their intended use is in the Miraculous Potions.
With this new resource, you can use the crystals to create Miraculous Potions that enhance the Royal Tools.
Each potion has a different effect, from instantly growing crops to turning white fishing bubbles gold. The only catch is that the potions have ten to 25 uses.
Miracle Potions will have ten uses, and Miraculous Potions will have 25. Considering many games have timed enchantments, this feels fair to ensure that you get the same bonus every time you use the potion.
