Be it open world, Memory of Chaos, or Simulated Universe, you'll often be faced with formidable enemies in Honkai: Star Rail. You can form a party of up to four characters to defeat these enemies, but a ton of strategy goes into choosing these members due to the turn-based nature of the game.

Kafka is also one of the few characters who borrows the damage from her party members to deal big numbers. If you've pulled for this five-star Nihility character on your account, here are the party members that can help you make her overpowered.

8 Sampo

Whenever you use Kafka's Skill or Ultimate, she instantly explodes all forms of DoT damage taken by the target enemy. She can also apply the Shock DoT through her Ultimate, Technique, Follow-up, and Weakness Break. Although, this Shock isn't nearly enough to get the most out of her phenomenal kit.

It gets much better when you add another DoT character like Sampo to the team. He applies the Wind Shear effect with all of his attacks, and this can stack up to five times. With enough Effect Hit Rate, you'll have Wind Shear on every enemy, which goes well with the explosive DoT damage from Kafka's Ultimate.

7 Bronya

You can have Bronya with almost every DPS in the game, but she performs especially well with Kafka. Since you can explode the DoT damage on every enemy with her Ultimate, you'd want to use it as much as possible. Though it's not efficient to use an Energy Regeneration Rate Link Rope on her.

Instead, you can build ATK Percent as the main stat on the Rope and use Bronya's Skill to give Kafka extra turns. Apart from letting her trigger more Skills, this also allows her to get the Ultimate back much faster. The only downside of this combination is the excessive use of Skill Points.

6 Serval

Serval might have gone down in popularity with the release of Jing Yuan, but she shot right back up as soon as Kafka was released. She's a four-star Erudition character who, just like Kafka, is great at applying the Shock DoT on multiple enemies at the same time. She can also deal significant damage while doing that.

If you're fighting in Memory of Chaos where all the enemies have the Lightning Weakness, the combination of Kafka and Serval can easily carry you through. With the constant DoT and Weakness Break, all enemies will be defeated before they know what hit them.

5 Luocha

Kafka and most of her companions mentioned on this list have quite a high Skill Point usage, which is why you need someone who can get those Points back for you. Luocha is an Abundance character who automatically heals your party members once every two turns when they go below 50 percent health.

His ATK scaling allows him to give massive heals even when he's not built properly. Most of Luocha's turns can be used to perform a simple basic attack to regenerate Skill Points for Kafka and the other team members, which can undeniably be the reason for your victory.

4 Luka

Luka is a four-star Nihility character who was released on the Kafka banner for the first time. He can apply the Bleed DoT through his Skill and also increase the damage taken by one enemy using his Ultimate. This already goes well alongside Kafka if the enemy has Physical Weakness.

Other than that, he also has a smaller version of Kafka with his enhanced basic attack. If this attack is performed on an enemy with the Bleed DoT, it instantly triggers this DoT to deal damage.

3 Asta

Asta somewhat has the same reason for being a good team member for Kafka as Bronya. She can increase all party members' SPD and ATK using her Ultimate, which lets you explode the DoT more often and deal extra damage because the DoT scales with your ATK in Honkai: Star Rail.

Moreover, she's great at breaking an enemy's shield, which applies the Fire DoT on the target enemy. If you're building a ton of Weakness Break on Kafka, you'd be using Talia: Kingdom of Banditry Planar Ornaments. This requires her to have a high 145 SPD, which can be done easily with Asta on the team.

2 Silver Wolf

One of the biggest shortcomings of any character in Honkai: Star Rail is when the enemy isn't Weak to the combat type possessed by the character. Breaking an enemy's Toughness Bar is extremely important since this delays their turn and deals a lot of extra Break Effect DMG.

Moreover, this also applies a special effect based on the combat type used to break the shield, which is DoT in many cases. If you're using Kafka, it's important to place the Lightning Weakness on the enemy, which can be done with Silver Wolf. You can also reduce their DEF with her Ultimate to make them take more DoT DMG.

1 Blade

Finally, Hoyoverse would be wrong if they didn't make the two Stellaron Hunters work in a team together. Blade is a five-star Destruction character with Wind as his combat type. He's great at dealing multi-target DMG and breaking an enemy's Toughness bar with his Ultimate, Follow-up, and enhanced basic attack.

This Weakness Break triggers Wind DoT, which can then be exploded using Kafka. Blade isn't good at regenerating Skill Points, but he also doesn't use a lot of them. If used correctly, this combination can help you maintain your Skill Point economy while also dealing a ton of damage to the enemies.
