A Little Help From Your Friend(s)

When Grace arrives to The Viper's Nest, you won't be alone - either Freddie on her own, Pan on his own, or both Freddie and Pan will arrive to help with your infiltration, depending on who you sided with when Pan first made you his offer in Act one.

Grace speaks to whoever has joined her, asking why they've come, and you can ask questions of whoever joined you to get to know a bit more about Medusa before going inside. Freddie knows mythology, but on the other hand, Pan knows the Idols, so both have their uses here.

You'll learn that Athena turned Medusa to stone and can't undo the spell. Regardless of who's with you or what you learned from them, choose "Let's do this" to begin your infiltration.

Here, you'll have three options for how to break into The Viper's Nest - confront the enforcer at the door, find another way in up on the roof, or distract the bouncer. Either way, the scene ends up with Grace entering the Viper's Lair.

Song: "Look Into Me"

You have no proper introduction to Medusa before you're ushered into her song, "Look Into Me," and as you enter the room to join the song, you'll see stone statues surrounding someone on a stage. Medusa emerges, but is angered when she notices Grace.

Quickly, you learn that Medusa doesn't want to actually turn Grace to stone - Medusa wants to eat you alive.

Throughout the song, you'll have three major options related to Grace's natures for how to handle Medusa's threats:

  • Try to charm her into being too friendly with Grace to actually go through with eating her.
  • Threaten Medusa to a fight and show her you're not afraid of her, standing up to her.
  • Ask about Athena, aware that Athena changed Medusa into what she is, and that Medusa is upset that she can't change back.

Either way, the song reveals that Medusa knows Grace didn't kill Calliope

If you sided with Apollo at the end of Act One and are playing as a Clever Grace, you're able to tell Medusa that Apollo might be able to help her return to normal.

At the end of the number, Grace's friends arrive while Medusa is distracted with Grace, which ends the song one way or another. While her tone changes depending on how the song played out, from here, you can interrogate Medusa to find out what she knows about Calliope's death.

Medusa was at The Reliquary, but had no hand in the attack. Ask Medusa all the available questions to learn some valuable information about Calliope and Athena, but she also reveals that Pan told her Calliope had gone to The Reliquary.

Choose "I've asked enough questions" once all the questions are exhausted to end the conversation with Medusa. She begs you not to tell Athena that she went to The Reliquary before taking her leave.

You'll receive either the "Like Heroes Before You" or "Snake Charmer" trophy or achievement, depending on how things go with Medusa in this scene.

After leaving The Viper's Nest, Grace will talk to whoever came with you about what you learned from Medusa and about Pan's involvement in the night of Calliope's death.

  • If it's just Freddie, then the girls get a chance to chat and unwind, and possibly even flirt.
  • If it's just Pan, you'll immediately accuse him of selling Calliope out.
  • If it's both Freddie and Pan, Freddie will leave so that Grace can interrogate Pan.

Regardless of whether you speak to Pan here or not, you'll be brought to Olympus after this scene automatically to confront Pan about his involvement before the scene ends.

If you're trying to romance Pan, telling him "You're a fraud," will end your flirtation with him
